Pomonte lies in the broad valley of Mount Capanne,
at the foot of the stately and sunny Monte San Bartolomeo,
    where the old terraces still cultivated are still present, lining
    the paths of the Park of Tuscan Archipelago,
used for trekking and mountain biking.
    Pomonte is today a country for tourists,
with activities, services and shops of various kinds.
    The coastline consists of beautiful cliffs and smooth pebble beach.
    A few meters from the shore, only 16 meters deep,
    the wreck of Elviscott lies, a cargo ship sunk in 1976
becoming a key-point for experienced divers and snorkelers.
